GOLF CLUB BONMONT TERRES NOVES
 

Location

Belonging to the prestigious Medgroup chain, famous for its exceptional landscaping and exclusivity, this club was inaugurated in 1990. Two editions of the Catalan Open on the Volvo Tour were played here, one in 1991 ( Winner José M. Olozabal) and another in 1996 (Paul Lawrie). The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and is considered to be one of the finest in Spain, lying on rolling terrain with fantastic views, low-lying mountains, a blue sea in the background and lots of typical Mediterranean vegetation. A course that is perfect for playing on at any time of the year.

Course
The most interesting part of the course is hole-17 - 512 M, Par 5 is the longest on the course and a memorable moment of golfing strategy awaits the player.
From a well-placed-tee-shot, the golfer will test the wind and decide whether or not to carry directly to the green on the second shot. There is a narrow stretch leading into the green but there is a ravine lurking with a penalty shot waiting for the over-ambitious or anyone with a poor technique. This is not an overly difficult hole if played with caution, crossing the ravine twice, but it will test any player.
